It goes without saying that music video production had been on the problematic side for the past couple of years. But as the world attempts to regroup, artists have returned to express all their pent-up artistic chutzpah and this can mean only one thing— the independent music films are BACK! And while there have been many brilliant clips that have captured our imagination over the past year, the three visual stunners below have added the most wows per frame. For the GTC, anyway. No doubt about it.

“And here is the video for ”Young & Dumb”. We had a lot of different ideas for it. One was to go out and just film a bunch of Epa-traktor (google it) driving kids as they party and behave badly. But finally, we landed in the idea of putting our own kids to work. Classic child labour.
“So we asked my (Charlies) daughter Nico and Jerry’s son Louie (and his brother Otis in a supporting roll) if they wanted to anything they ever dreamt of doing, and we’ll pay for it. Which they agreed to, funilly enough. They had the time of their lives.” (Facebook, 4 November 2022)
