…don’t wanna come down, CHILD SEAT Serotonin
Child Seat Serotonin is available on Fucking Up a Good Thing, Apple Music, Deezer

by Walter Price
As promised, here is the follow-up B-side review of my Child Seat – “Fucking Up A Good Thing” from a few days ago. Said track is called “Serotonin” and this one has stardust in its veins and finds the LA faves channeling plenty of Sharon Van Etten and perhaps a smidge of Girl In Red (who coincidently have a track with the same title. Kismet.).
Of course, Child Seat has composed a timeless synth vibe as vocalist Madeleine Mathews’ signature psych-tinged delivery guides us through this tale of trying not to come down…from whatever it may be. Escapism comes in many forms and ultimate outcomes, but for this duo, it sounds like “Serotonin”. And it’s guaranteed addictive.
You stream both “Fucking Up A Good Thing” as well as “Serotonin”, here at the GTC.
( A Fire Tiger/Child Seat/Broken Baby Tour would be pretty sweet. Cosmos, do your thing…)
