…Sounds of a simpler time, Alex Lleo – MORNING HEIGHTS EP
Alex Lleo – Morning Heights Ep is available at Spotify, Apple Music, Babywoman Records.
by Walter Price
There’s a delicate and timeless vibe to the music British singer-songwriter Alex Lleo sets free. At times he conjures up memories of Christopher Cross, at other moments Father John Misty, even a bit of Ed Sheeran can be heard. But ultimately, this singer is his own voice. And his new EP, ‘Morning Heights’, is 6-tracks of soft rock beauty. Lyrics that ooze tender sentiments, intricate guitar work, and less is more production finds this future summer classic a well-balanced work of earnestness. Something that will soundtrack endless cups of coffee and lovely rainy days for the foreseeable future.
And you can stream the Sahil Ansari-produced album in full as well as see a ‘Live from Bath Forum’ performance of the lead track, “White Water”, now at the GTC.

“I’ve never felt more like an artist, than when I was in Brooklyn. I’d never been anywhere that made me feel like I could do anything, and not be judged at the same time. I felt like I could re-invent myself a hundred times over If I wanted to. I wanted that feeling of ultimate freedom and self-expression across this song [White Water] and entire EP.” – A. Lleo
