…looking for, ANGELA POWIS Remedy
by Walter Price
Bedroom synth-pop poet and motivational Tweeter (err, Xer) Angela Powis returns with yet another emotional self-reflective single, “Remedy”. Powis is no stranger to weaving her journeys into her lyrics and this release is heavy on the ‘hero’ soul saver vs. the power to stand on one’s own. Searching for a ‘savior’, if you will, is a daunting process for sure and Powis captures the weight of such a plight in her signature higher range vocals and stirring arrangement.
Powis, as I’ve mentioned before, uses music and her poetry as therapeutic vehicles and invites us all along for the ride. There’s bravery in being so forthright, so kudos to Powis, and her willingness to be so open. In the end, with songs like “Remedy” and previous releases, we all get to follow along as this songwriter advances mentally and artistically.

“I started creating music a few years ago, to find some sort of outlet. To get all the thoughts I had in my mind out. To find peace and finally free myself.” – AP-bio
