With undeniable vibes tied to The Cranberries, Slowdive, and The Sundays—Bergeoning indie post-punk pop outfit Sunday (1994) has come out swinging with their debut stunner “Tired Boy”.
Co-dependency has made for some very daunting challenges and every once in a while, a dreamy ode to acceptance that the one you adore is flawed and rolling with the nonchalant shortcomings is a pain worth enduring—or is it? Vocalist Paige Turner softly laments, “We’re always at your place/ Even though it’s a pigsty/ But so is your life and your mind/ But I told you that I’d die/ For you again and again…”. Oh, what attachment can do to an ego—magical and bemusing.
Sunday (1994) are fresh faces in the indie pop scene and if their gorgeous “Tired Boy” and its well-deserved accolades and social media fawning, have anything to say about it, are an outfit to latch onto. Find out for yourself, stream the debut single, and see its nostalgic video here at the GTC.

I’m a little bit tired boy,
Get a little bit higher boy,
cause you don’t give a shit,
And it works so perfect for you,
I wish I was more like you…
