Lambchop – ‘Nixon‘ (Reissue)

New Album Releases

  • Lambchop: Nixon‘ (Reissue)
“To celebrate their 25th anniversary as a label, Merge are reissuing albums from their back catalog throughout 2014. First up is Lambchop’s 2000 album Nixon, which is out January 28. It’ll be released on 180-gram vinyl and double-CD. Both come packaged with White Sessions 1998: How I Met Cat Power, a remastered live solo session from Kurt Wagner at Radio France.” – Evan Minsker (Pitchfork)

  • David Crosby: Croz
“Low-sales expectation or not, the casually thrown-together record captures a more nuanced narrative than most contemporary platinum-sellers of the 2010s. Lyrics tend to come in bulk after 20 years-worth of silent observations, after all.” – Gregory Hicks (Michigan Daily)

“Native State simply doesn’t feel like your typical folk and country-inspired music from the South. Williamson’s approach is far too unique and haunting, too poetic and pointed to be lumped in with the rest of the twangy rabble. It is connected in sound and spirit to the deep heart of Texas but has the ability to transport us all to our own place of comfort, calm, and contentment.” (jesswilliamson.com)
