…we don’t do that in real life, TALKER IRL (single)

Separating digital perceptions and tangible realities are further blurred each and every time we log on. It’s detrimental at best. That’s the storyline of the sensational recent single “IRL” from LA indie pop singer/songwriter talker [Celeste Tauchar] and co-writer Ex Mañana. A big pop song blending post-punk airiness, 1990s alt, and the vast yet almost understated indie pop stylings of today. Quite the indelible concoction.
But not only is this song weighty and palpable, but Tauchar’s vocal delivery builds what feels like chapters throughout. Giving off the vibe that nothing is truly constant. I suppose, kinda like that before mentioned blurring of perceptions and realities. And to back it all up, talker has released a trippy color splash music video that the performer has described [Facebook 5 August 2022], “I wanted this video to feel like it was truly something not from real life – like a trip of many mixed emotions.” Mission Accomplished.
“IRL” is from the 9-track album “In Awe of Insignificance“.
You can stream “IRL” and witness its psyche-tweaking music video, here at the GTC.
