All the things we do to mask our feelings and self doubts never really pay off in the long run. But once we look in the mirror and embrace confidence in who we are, then our lives can flourish. And the new single from Montreal pop star on the rise Nova Rose beautifully travels the journey to self-respect.
In a Facebook post, the songwriter shares, “I think we all go through tough days, weeks, months where we feel like the world is against us. ‘Need Me’ is about being kinder to yourself and loving yourself, something we should all learn to do more of…”. A lovely truth that feels even more at home after such a turbulent year where many found isolation weighing heavy on their psyche. And this track’s positive vibe and much-needed message of hope will find fans of Oh Harlow, Natalie Imbruglia, and Dua Lipa grooving in their newfound self-assurance.
And you can stream this song of thriving positivity, produced by House of Wolf [Carlie Hanson and Cheat Codes], as well as watch its playful (and stylish) must-see-film, directed by Eric Ardila, now at the GTC.

“The opening lyrics in my new single “Need Me” hit the hardest. I can’t breathe, been two weeks I can’t get my shit together / I can’t sleep, melatonin nights that I don’t remember. I think we all go through tough days, weeks, months where we feel like the world is against us.” – NR
