Duo Murmur Tooth & Lars Moston’s awaited debut LP No Time to Explain has arrived and it’s as varied and dynamic as their burgeoning fanbase could have expected. It already bolsters some chart-landing singles and balances eclectic pop, dancefloor bops, and quirky undefinables along the way. This album is a twisty ride, buckle up!
Highlights include the dreamy indie rocker, “All I Ever Wanted Was Everything”, the funky groove of “Now is Love”, their seductive redux of Aöice Cooper’s “Poison”, and the atmospheric chill (almost mid-80s Pet Shop Boys sounding) closer “Never Forget”. But, it’s all subjective since this album never leans heavily on any particular vibe and certainly isn’t singularly anywhere along the 13 tracks.
The aptly titled, No Time to Explain is not only a fun pop album for all occasions but its documentation of two artistic souls exploring their love of making music and basking in all the beats en voyage. And you can stream their fantastic journey in full, here at the GTC.
