Nadine Khouri Another Life is available on Rough Trade, Bandcamp, Deezer, Tidal

When an album is highly recommended by the incomparable Terry Lee Hale, produced by seminal studio wizard John Parish and subsequently lauded by many as an unequivocal masterpiece, you’re inclined to listen. And life hasn’t been the same since I experienced the chilling slow burn vibes of Nadine Khouri’s “Another Life” LP.
Inspiring in the spaces in-between Aldous Harding, Feist, and Morphine and certainly forging soundscapes all its own, this is less an inconsequential review as it is an urgent suggestion that you take a few moments and soak in the haunting and cerebral beauty that Khouris has dedicated, “For the lives remembered, those forgotten, those repeating, and those yet to come.”
You can stream the picturesque “Another Life”, here at the GTC.

“Having left her native Lebanon in the civil war as a child, Khouri harboured an unlikely dream of becoming a rock ‘n’roll singer, after discovering Elvis in her parents’ music collection. A self-taught musician, Khouri began her career as an acoustic singer-songwriter in New York City, before moving to London and being discovered by Parish.” – bio
