Back in 1981, you could hear gasps as folks first laid ears on the sexually blatant line, “There’s nothing left to talk about unless it’s horizontally”, from Olivia Newton-John’s smash hit “Let’s Get Physical”. Although she wasn’t the first to celebrate sexual-empowerment on the airwaves. Yet, Newton-John is arguably the most influential. Opening the door for artists like Cyndi Lauper, Peaches, Lady Gaga, Halsey, and many more.
And now, in a retro disco ode to ‘there ain’t no slut-shaming ’round here‘, Holiday Sidewinder has dropped [2018] the fresh single, “Leo”. Sexy is Sidewinder’s forte, and here she shines just as bright as she has on her recently released singles, “Tra$h Can Luv” and “Casino“. This time around, she’s taking the bed back, “I don’t remember his face, but I remember when I came.” Absolutely, good on ya.
The Thom Kerr directed video finds our heroine using the tables-turned nude male form as both art and physical eye candy. You’ll also find what I assume are odes to Newton-John, Madonna, and Lucille Ball, as well. Feast your eyes and ears on it below.
