Mårten Lärka’s recent single, “You’re Gonna Sing My Songs”, is sonically/texturally instep with the hallowed proto-punk/power-folk sounds of Fanny, MC5 and Big Star. And lyrically, depending on your mindset is either a mantra or a fair warning, or perhaps both.
This bare-bones track, with its straightforward phrasing, that’ll certainly grab you realistically, honestly and the accompanying one-of-a-kind video’s concept, is a surprisingly potent and must-hear gem.
