Back in the 80’s, a common theme for teen flicks was that ‘unrequited love’ storyline. Pretty In Pink, Sixteen Candles, and Say Anything explored this evergreen topic. And let’s be honest, they are a whole lotta formulaic, and we still can’t get enough. GTC ‘the 80’s never died‘ faves, Fire Tiger, have released a new video for their track “Suddenly Heavenly” that pays tribute to those magical makeovers sequences and paint by numbers love stories.

Directed by Rachel Napoliell (with assists from TUFTS University Film Student team), the film is a tongue.in-cheek throwback. Following a Boy (James Malcolm) as his radiant Friend (Sophia Balsamo) lends a hand in a step by step transformation in hopes of winning the unobtainable attention from his dream girl. But does it turn out as planned? Was his true love right under his nose the whole time? The tension is high…watch the video below and find out if it all goes according to plan…No doubt John Hughes would have approved.
