The hurdles many face day in and day out can burn out the strongest of us. But when you mix your journey with art, you can heal by living an open book. This feels like the origin story of the recent single “Feel This Way” by the San Diego duo Stucky Leigh (Lauren Leigh & Will Stucky).
Leigh and Stucky have a chemistry in this song that will move even the most dispassionate souls. Their approach to the harmonies is gorgeous as is the way producer Jeff Berkley let this song breathe its truths without bogging it down with studio tomfoolery. Genius all around.
Not to mention that these two singer-songwriters are pals with one of my favorite songwriters —Lindsay White. In a Facebook post concerning a live event, White gushed, “I can’t think of a better space to be reduced to a pile of emotional mush by @stuckyleigh than @nhunited.” I sadly won’t be at the show but I couldn’t agree more with White’s sentiment.
