…the best for you, SINGLE: SAER – Call Me Out
Saer – Call Me Out is available at Babywoman Records, Spotify.

The lovely new single from Birmingham native SAER, “Call Me Out”, is a sentimental ode to keeping promises made. A delicate lullaby inspired by the songwriter’s daughter hits home for me. As a single father of two, it took me a while to realize the importance of doing the things I sincerely offered up. But, as they often do, life and circumstances got in the way and some things regrettably slipped past.
So, yeah, I instantly related when this songwriter, and former The Voice UK contestant, sings in a whisper, “So call me out on all the things / I promised / I said I would do / Tell me straight if there are things / I swore, I’d make for you / All I want is the best for you / All of my love is yours”.
If you’re a fan of Jeff Buckley, Cat Stevens, Elliott Smith or you just need a reminder of the impact of your words, regardless of how fleeting, then add this one to your I-will playlist. “Call Me Out” is available now via Babywoman Records.
And I must confess, that I’ve been inspired to head down to the basement to finish that oversized cardboard pirate ship I started long ago…

Your laugh can light up the mood in a dark room,
Inspired your father to write a tune,
To tell how he feels about, but…
Words they can’t put you to bed at night
and words they won’t feed you and hold you tight
A saying can’t fill up the cracks in the wall
So call me out…
