I truly believe The Cult is one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
Now this from this very day in 1987:
Ian Astbury of The Cult was arrested after a show in Vancouver ended in a riot. Staff at the concert claimed they were assaulted by Astbury, who spent the night in the local police cells.(source)
Now that is some old school Rock N’ Roll!
