…we were kids, QUIVERS – Hold You Back
Quivers – Golden Doubt LP Pre-order is available at Bandcamp, Ba Da Bing, Bobo Integral.

If you’re a fan of those jangle-pop sounds of The Go-Betweens, The Feelies, and/or 10,000 Maniacs, then the recent single “Hold You Back” from Melbourne’s Quivers is going to light up your favorite I-Love-Harmonies playlist(s). Comparisons aside, this track isn’t singular in its vibe. Post-punk, 1970s AM Radio soft-rock, lush arrangements (featuring a lovely violin and butter-smooth bass), and an evergreen story of trying to find the perfect balance in a relationship all intertwined in this indelible singalong.
We were kids, close to the precipice
Though it makes us feel nervous
Though it makes us feel nervous
Tie me to a tree and walk away
We were trying different things
I had to wait for someone else to come along and help me out
Help me out
I said, I wanna hold you but I don’t wanna hold you back
Taken from the 4-piece outfit’s forthcoming LP called ‘Golden Doubt’, the soundtrack-ready “Hold You Back” will have you hanging onto every note. And you can stream it and see the DIY music video, now at the GTC.
Summertime just got another song to turn all the way up…

“Sam, Bella, Michael and Holly are Quivers, a band which make cathartic guitar pop that jangles and shimmers somewhere between 1980s Australia and 1990s America and somehow sounds like the present.” – bio
