HEAVY TIGER – ‘I Go For The Cheap Ones’

by Maria Haskins

This brand new track and video from Swedish band Heavy Tiger is one heck of a catchy rock and roller. ‘I Go For The Cheap Ones’ is taken from Heavy Tiger’s new album ‘Glitter’ – and I am just loving this tune. (I also love their outfits: 100% dazzling!)

Read my review of ‘Glitter’.

‘Glitter’ is available right now:

Heavy Tiger is based in Stockholm and is made up of Maja Linn on guitar and vocals, Astrid Carsbring on drums and backing vocals, and Sara Frendin on bass and backing vocals.

As the bio says:

Some say power trio. Others talk about all girl band. But what it comes down to in the end of the day, is that Heavy Tiger is an impressive and unique rock ‘n’ roll act. Classic riffs with attitude. Think KISS meets Thin Lizzy and you´re pretty close.

CHAPEL ROW – ‘Lockdown’

by Maria Savva

This track is the excellent “Lockdown” by Chapel Row, an Indie rock band from Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. I’m looking forward to hearing more from this band.

Here’s a quote from the band’s Facebook page about the meaning of the song:

Have you ever dreamed about traveling this big blue ball?? But got caught up in between your own four walls and hometown… The feeling of never getting around to getting out.
LOCKDOWN!!

RICHIE KOTZEN – ‘End of Earth’

by Maria Haskins

‘End of Earth’ is a spectacularly good track from Richie Kotzen, taken from his new album ‘Salting Earth’, set for release April 21st. I fell in love with this tune on the first listen, and I just keep finding more things to love about it every time I hear it.

Kotzen’s strong and soulful vocals, outstanding lyrics, and songwriting, and some fabulous guitar work make this track a standout.

Richie Kotzen has announced a string of tour dates: check out the particulars on his website.
