The pandemic, politics, social unrest and insert your own personal chaotic situation, and this world has changed the way we think. Moments of clarity, panic, uncertainties, thoughts of escaping but no place to go, and so on fill our new schedules. And Austin-based super-group trio Nobody’s Girl (BettySoo, Rebecca Loebe, Grace Pettis) have a recent single, “Tiger”, that’s ready to soundtrack all the inner turmoil as we try to maintain a middle ground.
Pettis explains the song’s center, “Tiger’ is for those of us trying to keep it together; keep our emotions and our “crazy” at bay, knowing we’re ‘just one reason away’ from losing that control…There are plenty of songs about getting angry and responding with aggression. And there are plenty of songs about taking it easy and not letting anything bother you. ‘Tiger’ is not either of them.”
For once in my life
I wanna cut and run
For once in my life
I wanna have a little fun
If nobody can see me
Then no one’s gonna know
No one’s gonna know
No one’s gonna know
Oh go on, go on
So go on, come on
So go on, I dare you
Make my day
Give me one more reason
I’m just one reason away
This track is an indelible balance of nursery rhyme catchy, hook-heavy harmonies, and brilliant folk-pop lyricism. And you can stream the single and watch the socially distanced produced music video, now at GTC.
“Tiger” is from the forthcoming self-titles LP due 5 February via Lucky Hound Records.

“Nobody’s Girl, the album, is a testament to the power of three strong independent songwriters with three strong voices coming together as one, carrying their message along the beautiful way with a “bubblicious” roar like nobody else.” – bio
