NEWS: Has Malcolm Young Been Replaced?
There has been so much speculation about the future of AC/DC these past couple months Oliver Stone almost thought about making a new conspiracy film…I made the film part up.
What is sadly real is that Malcolm Young is ill and will not be part of the new album about to be pounded out in Vancouver.
“After forty years of life dedicated to AC/DC, guitarist and founding member Malcolm Young is taking a break from the band due to ill health. Malcolm would like to thank the group’s diehard legions of fans worldwide for their never-ending love and support. In light of this news, AC/DC asks that Malcolm and his family’s privacy be respected during this time. The band will continue to make music.”. -AC/DC
Doesn’t matter your fave genre of music, you have and will continue to rock the glorious hard rockers whenever they thunder from your car’s speakers and this news is tough to take.
“That’s just terrible. It sucks. It doesn’t matter how much money you have — even if Malcolm [Young] and those guys were just playing at the bar band level, if he was making enough to pay the bills and playing the music he digs playing and then he had to stop, it would still be so sad, man. I just hope he gets better so he can have a good life. It definitely sucks, but all you can do is say a prayer for him and hope he gets better. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love AC/DC, so Malcolm will have no shortage of love coming to him.” – Zakk Wylde (Blabbermouth.com)
Well, Loudwire.com has come out with more interesting ‘news’ or, perhaps, another speculative question. Is Steve Young Playing On The New AC/DC Album? Who is Steve Young and why does that name sound so familiar? Find out HERE!
Whatever happens, I bet this will be the last album from one of the Top 5 live bands in history…
