Mountain’s Man Leslie West Is Back, Again!

According to Gibson.com legendary, infamous and down right bad-ass guitarists Leslie West is set to release a second all-star album called “Still Climbing”.

“Still Climbing will see Dee Snider, Creed’s Mark Tremonti, Jonny Lang and Johnny Winter joining West on this soon to be classic. So check it out when it hits stores on October 28th.

What makes this all more incredible and way cool y’all is that in 2011 Leslie lost a leg due to complications of diabetes. No piss and moaning like the kids today. No Sir!

“I’m lucky it wasn’t one of my hands or I’d be screwed,” said West. “It was a difficult struggle, and after the amputation I didn’t know whether I’d ever want to or be able to perform again. A month later I played at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp in New York City, and I heard my guitar on stage and that was it. I knew I had to keep going.” (Gibson.com)

Until this album comes out go get  yourself “The Best Of Mountain” and listen to those guitar riffs on songs like “Mississippi Queen”, “Long Red”, “Boys In The Band” and “Dreams Of Milk & Honey” and think your stars for Leslie West of Mountain.

Also check out 2011’s “Unusual Suspects” featuring Zakk Wilde, Joe Bonamassa, Billy Gibbons and Steve Lukather.
