Les Claypool Is Out There! (a NSFW word)

Les Claypool has fronted/played in some the most interesting, funky, strange, successful and maybe weird musical acts known to the modern world. Primus,  Holy Mackerel, Sausage, Oysterhead, The Frog Brigade and now Duo De Twang w/ Bryan Kehoe.

“In the early days all I hoped was to make a living out of what I did best. But, since there’s no real market for masturbation I had to fall back on my bass playing abilities.” Les Claypool

The bassist is out on the road playing with two of groups throughout the rest of the year. First with his funked up bluegrass explosion of an act Duo De Twang and later with his lovechild, Primus.

Been a fan for as long as I can remember and just wish he was hitting Europe. So the States is the place to be if you want to see this man of many ways to kill on a bass guitar.

All of that to say this. I just read a fantastic interview Les gave to Greg Prato over at RS.com.

Claypool gives good interview, he talks about the return of Tim Alexander to Primus, a possible Oysterhead reunion (Claypool, Trey Anastasio & Stewart Copland), touring, and a new TV project he is working to produce with Mickey Melchiondo (formally Dean Ween of Ween)!

Please read the interview when you have time…It is a teat! Click, HERE!

Have fun!
