…thoughts I thought I’d buried, SINGLE: MACSEAL – “Lucky for Some” [Super Enthusiast LP]
Macseal – Super Enthusiast is available @ Apple Music.

by Walter Price
In a nonscientific study conducted by my self just this past few days, Farmingdale, NY’s Macseal is proof that you don’t need all the studio bells and whistles to create a from the heart alt/pop-punk album, that’ll not only move ya but make ya wanna start a garage band all over again.
The first track on the album, “Lucky for Some”, is a lil dreamy, harmony-filled and heady. No mysterious double entendres, no overworked sentiments or false pretenses. Just a rock song about the realities of yearning.
These thoughts I thought I’d buried
Came knocking at the door
It felt so ordinary
That’s why I craved it more
Other highlights from the album worth their weight in indie rock cleverness, “Upside Down Again”, “Graduating Steps”, and “Picture Perfect”.
Check out the video, filmed by Macseal, Craig Bidiman, Robi Brown, Megan Cisneros, Chris Farren, Dana Lovasz, Vaughn Sutterman, and a random man in San Francisco, below and catch the band on the road. By the looks of it, its a great time…
For fans of Skating Polly, Weezer and/or The Y Axes.
