All sorts of relationships are complicated, to say the least. If they weren’t, we wouldn’t have addictive songs to soundtrack our intricate goings-on. Leeds songwriter/performance artist Lenu [Lizzy Joyce & Co] recent single, “For Me”, is such a track. And while this jangly indie-pop treat, which one could assume is based on deep-seated memories, is an unavoidable earworm, it will be the accompanying music video that’ll have tongues wagging.
Directed by Chloé Shephard, the kaleidoscopic film follows Joyce through lush sea and countryside with a great deal of lively/ angst-ridden makeup, costume changes, and a star turning interpretive dance à la particular wiggle thats all the performer’s own.
