For all your honky tonkin’ Christmas cocktail lovin’ so and so’s, do I have a real rockabilly Holiday tune to soundtrack your saucy seasonal get-together… It is aptly called “Cocktail for Christmas” by the sensational India Ramey.
It’s hard to say exactly when this gem was released into the world but it can be found most recently on the Medicine Show Records’ Christmas collection, “Winter Collection 2023 edition – Christmas Times A’Comin’“. But the song’s origins go back a bit further to circa 2021 when a brilliant music video was gifted. With its cast of oddballs, family, and hangers-on, you’ll instantly relate to the need for a stiff drink or two…Not to mention this rocker will induce some inebriated rug cuttin’ to boot.
“Cocktail for Christmas” was an introduction to India Ramey for me and what a firecracker of a voice and songwriter. If you’re lookin’ to be lit before that ole turkey is done, you can stream your new favorite Christmas drinking song, here at the GTC.
