We do the digging so you can just Dig It!

The members of Swedish band Tiger Bell describes their chosen genre of music as ‘Punk Rock Whatever’, saying that they have “one foot in pop, one in punk and one in rock (which adds up to a lot of feet)”. No matter what you call it, this track is a shot of thumping good energy, crackling with just the right amount of punk-rock-whatever electricity.

Tiger Bell is made up of Lovisa Thurfjell on lead vocals and guitar, Canan Rosen on bass and back-up vocals, Lisa Löfgren on guitar and back-up vocals, and Lotta Wennström on drums. The band started out in 2010, and released their debut album Don’t Wanna Hear About Your Band in 2013. Right now, they’re hard at work on their second album, and their latest release is this single – ‘1-2-3-4 Radio’ – and the accompanying video, featuring footage from the band’s tour through Spain in May, 2015.

The Winery Dogs Hot StreakThe official video for The Winery Dogs’ track ‘Oblivion’ from the band’s new album Hot Streak is hot off the press – and I just frigging love the tune. Here’s the official video, as well as a drum-cam video of Mike Portnoy doing his magic thing.

And the new album? Yeah, review is coming. Spoiler: it’s really, really good

Dirty ThrillsIt was my friend Maria Savva, author and music-blogger, who first introduced me to UK rock-band Dirty Thrills. She’s been talking about them for a while online, and when I gave them a listen I was hugely impressed: this band has a fantastic blues-rock groove going. Seems other people think so as well, since Dirty Thrills was just picked by Europe as one of the band’s to open for them on that band’s War Of Kings-tour.

‘Rock N Roll’ is taken from Dirty Thrills self-titled debut album.
