all them witchesALL THEM WITCHES ‘Open Passageways’

All Them Witches is a band based in Nashville, This track just floored me when I listened to it a week ago. It’s beautiful and haunting and goosebump-inducing, and it’s taken from the band’s album ‘Dying Surfer Meets His Maker’ – available for download here: http://smarturl.it/DSMHM.

The band is made up of and they describe their sound as: “sweaty beats and dope riffs”,. which sounds alright by me.

Whoa. This new track and video from British rockers Tax The Heat is a total knockout, and it makes me even more eager to hear the band’s new album ‘Fed To The Lions’, set for release in April.

FiguresFIGURES ‘Filter’

Figures is an Australian crew, based in Melbourne. The band came together in 2014, and describe themselves as influenced by acts like Incubus, Tool, A Perfect Circle, and 30 Seconds to Mars. ‘Filter’ – is a pretty damn fantastic track with a heavy, satisfying vibe, and the accompanying video was just released at the end of January.

Figures has a lot of things going on in 2016, including gigs at home in Australia, and in the US later this year:

This year sees the band release their debut single ‘Filter’ and the much-needed run of shows in their beloved city. Playing with some of the best bands & venues Melbourne has to offer, these gigs are a welcome break from an intense writing and recording schedule of last year and is the chance to reconnect and connect with old and new fans alike.

Guitarist Paul Callow says “It’s definitely time to get out there and show everyone what we have been up to, we have been itching to play for a long time, so we are really looking forward to it. Melbourne fans and the music scene is one of the best in the world, so we feel really lucky that this is the town we can launch in”.

April sees FIGURES return to the US to play some shows and to revisit the opportunities provided in 2015, and an Australian tour will be scheduled and announced towards later in the year.
