by Walter Price   You know, I’m here again readying another glowing word fest for one of my favorite indie bands, Feral Conservatives. This go round it’s all about their new video for the track “Twenty-Eight” from the band’s superb release Here’s To Almost (Egghunt) You’ll find “Twenty-Eight” on the first half of this album and it is a rock n roll stunner. Which you can hear down below but this is about the new video directed by the band’s Matt Francis and further highlights the outfit’s well rounded artistic senses. The clip’s tagline says, “The following depicts actual events. In January 2016, mysterious signs began appearing in Virginia Beach signaling an ominous threat.” and that is intriguing enough but what draws me in further is the high contrast black and white visuals texturing the storyline of a night of cause. Matt Francis recently told me about the track itself, “Thematically, it’s about leaving a church after two betrayals, one from the pastor and another from a friend. You have this broken trust between people, but how does that relate to your trust with God when one of those persons is your appointed teacher, shepherd, liaison if you will?” I dig this band, this new album and I think this is a killer video in all aspects. Bravo (again and again) Feral Conservatives.
