To say that the coming election is the most important in decades would be putting it lightly. With every thought process and walk of life seemingly polarized, casting your ballot is an absolute must. And in a beautifully inspiring reminder, LA-based singer-songwriter Leila’s recent single, “Go On Young Soul”, will move you to have your voice heard.
There are days of regret
There’s an ache you won’t forget
You look back with your baggage packed
You’re jaded but you’ve left
There are nights painted blue
Missing love you once knew
Your eyes wide in your bed at night
You pray you’ll make it through
While the somber poetry of the lyrics tells a tale of finding the courage to make a change, the film follows its heroine on a daunting yet necessary journey. This music video thrives in its stark zeitgeist imagery while being soundtracked by the track’s near fragile arrangement and the songwriter’s spellbinding voice. And the storyline is very clear and worth a view or several.
“Go On Young Soul” is taken from the brilliant “Glass Highways” LP and you can stream the single and watch the awe-inspiring video, now at the GTC.
And, Please, Utilize Your Power and Vote…
