MATT DeMELLO – (Nobody Cares About) The Days After Christmas
by Walter Price
With a nod to ragtime with a touch of Randy Newman, Peekskill’s very own Piano Man, Matt DeMello, reintroduces his Holiday reminder that this time of year isn’t just for Christians track, “(Nobody Cares About) The Days After Christmas”. No, its not exactly an indictment per se, but there is some serious thought wrapped up in this single’s swing.
Yes, nobody cares about the days after Christmas,
Except for Muslims, Atheists, and Jews
And poor uptights who insist way all say “Merry Christmas”
Without other holidays confused!
To the point where no one’s even all that grateful, just bemused.
Anyway, a Happy Saturnalia from Matt DeMello & the Significant Looks!
So, as you go about your pre and post Holiday cheer, keep in mind your neighbors and their reasons to celebrate this time of year. And you can stream the jaunty and mindful tune as well as the recent release, “(A-Typical) Candidate [For Rampage Violence]”, now at the GTC.
