With the second release from his Seven Day Singles project, Eamonn Dowd drops the slow-burn single “Crystal Clear”. A haunting honky-tonk track, for those with a memory, that will take you back to a time when singer-songwriters like Billy Bragg or Robert Earl Keen sang to us melancholic bare-bones lullabies.
Now based in Sweden, the well-traveled troubadour, Dowd, is releasing what may be his most important works to date. Straightforward cinematic lyrics and his signature raw approach to storytelling not only draw you in but paint pictures that will stick around a while…which is almost devastating if not a bit ironic knowing that these recent singles will disappear.
If you need some visuals to help you soak up the feeling of saying goodbye, you can go to Dowd’s website to see the DIY music video. And remember, you have a small window to which to peer into the current mindset of one of the most sincere minds in real rock n roll, so quickly stream “Crystal Clear” here at the GTC…before, poof, it’s gone.

“Well, it’s a digital release but only available on one platform – bandcamp, but with a presence and the regular hussle on social media. You can stream it / buy it, marvel at the visual wonders of the DIY video… whatever floats your boat…. and after 7 days it’s deleted. Gone. Bye Bye.” – E. Dowd
