Razorblade and the cotton swab WKND SPIN: CLEVER GIRLS – “Remember Pluto” [single]
Clever Girls – Remember Pluto is available at Apple Music.

by Walter Price
There ‘s something fresh just beyond the orbit of Neptune and its a fair blend of what you loved about the post-punk flavors of Dinasaur Jr, dream pop of Beach House and memories of the celestial vocals of Elizabeth Fraser. Its the brand new single “Remember Pluto” from Vermont’s Clever Girls.
The track, the first of two singles being released by Egghunt Records, has so much for your indie-intellect to take in. Lyrically poetic, Winfield Holt’s dreamy guitar work, Diane Jean’s understated vocal delivery, that seems to be keeping a little secret to itself, and the backbeat/rhythm provided by Robert Slater and Tobias Sullivan that will make aficionados of early Cure and New Order gush.
If you’re a fan of Best Coast, The Y Axes and/or Tame Impala, take this instant alt-pop-classic for a spin and add it to your weekend playlist, we have, at the GTC WKND SPIN. Then make the time to watch the beautifully directed film by Kayhl Cooper below.
The band’s second Egghunt single, “Sparkā, is expected in January 2020.
