Can The Byrds Fly Again?

One of the most influential American rock acts to shake thing up in the 1960’s, The Byrds have been long rumored to be considering a reunion album and tour.

Well, sad news Byrds fans, Roger McGuinn may have just clipped the wings of any such goings on.

With the band’s 50th anniversary coming up, McGuinn had this to say to RollingStone.com:

“David(Crosby) and I have talked about this at length, and to me a reunion would just be for the money. We’d go out and play some sheds, maybe gross a couple of million dollars and split it four or five ways. I’m not attracted to expensive things. I don’t need a Ferrari or anything like that.”  – Roger McGuinn (RollingStone.com)
We’re not exactly sure what’s wrong with money and/or a Ferrari or two but we’ll have to respect a man who wants to protect the legacy of a band that has so much love and respect.
