Beth Bombara Lonely Walls [It All Goes Up, LP] is available on Apple Music, Bandcamp, Deezer
by Walter Price
Close your eyes and take in the memories of the post-Flying Burrito Brothers vibes of the 1970s as you listen to the first single, “Lonely Walls”, from Beth Bombara’s forthcoming LP, “It All Goes Up”. Can you differentiate between then and now? I’m confident you can not. Beautifully timeless, this song about longing for what was and hopeful for what should be is a pertinent track for the feelings of so many in this post-pandemic world.
I’m not asking for anything crazy
I just wanna be with the one that I love
These arms are hungry to hold another heartbeat
Beating on between lonely walls…
Bombara is new to me, but I’m an instant convert to this St Louis singer-songwriter’s peaceful easy feeling sound. There’s a soft purity to this particular single’s message. The words breathe a palpable earnestness that you’ll instantly soak up and relate to, and, for me, that’s the magic. Conveying honest emotional moments is harder to do than you think…Bombara undoubtedly succeeds here.
“It All Goes Up” is set to be released on August 4, 2023, and you can stream its first yearning single “Lonely Walls”, here at the GTC.

“After studying music in college, she began playing in other people’s bands. It speaks to the depth of her musicianship that she played guitar and percussion in one band, bass in another project, and keys in yet another. So, just in case you weren’t aware – Bombara has talent and ears way beyond those of your average singer-songwriter.” – bio excerpt
