…under your skin, SINGLE: ANIMAL SCREAM – Station To Station
Animal Scream – Station To Station is available at Bandcamp.

by Walter Price
There’s a ton of grit and soul to the recent single, “Station To Station”, from Pittsburgh’s Animal Scream. That kind of low slung R&B that could’ve been on a 70s era urban milieu film soundtrack. Dark and brimming with electricity, or as one half of this duo, Josh Sickels, would coin their sound, ‘evil Motown’.
“Station To Station” is the result of the band’s other half Chad Monticue’s stint as a patient advocate and all the frustrations that that line of work can produce. So with this track’s undeniable funky drive and the deep-rooted realities of the lyrics, this song is a stellar calling card to what’s to come from Animal Scream.
This single is from the forthcoming ‘Nightwalk’ LP, available for pre-order at Bandcamp. And you can stream two pre-release singles below.

“If you put Prince, Roy Orbison, Thom Yorke, and Misfits-era Glenn Danzig on the show Twin Peaks and had them be the house band, that’s kind of what our album sounds like.” – Josh Sickels
