Although it seems to be a bit quiet of late for the Australian collective All Our Exes Live in Texas and the track I’ve just recently discovered may be very familiar to fans of the acclaimed group, they and it should be celebrated once again.

“Tell Me” (2014), is described, via Bandcamp, as a song about, “…mess and chaos – a disarray of love, punch-ups and everything in between. It’s a song you’ll have floating around in your head for days.” And getting stuck in your noggin for days is hyperbole free. With building lullaby vocals, lighthearted sardonic lyrics, pitch-perfect harmonies, and pop-flavored roots arrangement, you’ll certainly be humming this beauty for the foreseeable future.

This outfit’s website is now defunct, their socials aren’t promoting anything group related and this all points to end for these storytellers as a said collective. Which, for me, a new fan is a sad result. But as the saying goes, their music lives on.

“Tell Me” ultimately landed on the hallowed album “When We Fall” and you can stream the single as well as the full album, here at the GTC.
