…all these demons, WISH QUEEN Grievances
Wish Queen Grievances is available on Bandcamp, Apple Music, Saturnalia [LP]
by Walter Price
With the breezy post-punk arrangement, weighty verses, and indelible atmospheric vocals; Wish Queen’s latest single “Grievances” is a study in cohabitating with your own teetering catastrophizing. Self-doubt is a really tricky route to navigate, but when beauty such as this track is a byproduct… an outsider peering in would argue that it’s a human experience well worth traveling.
All these demons
They bury all these reasons in my head
Stop believing
‘Cause there’s always someone leaving in the end
And I’m still grieving
‘Cause I can’t forget the last thing that you said
So much is fading but, I’m still breathing
What is needed?
When everything’s depleted, left for dead
I’ll stop the bleeding,
But I fear I’ll never wash out all the red
Another season,
Another heavy feeling left to shed
Always deceiving and
All these grievances…
“Grievances” is taken from Wish Queen’s forthcoming album, ‘SATURNALIA’ and is expected to arrive on the 27th of October via Schoolkids Records.
