…all I want is, SOME JERKS Summertime Funtime
Some Jerks – Summertime Funtime LP is available at Bandcamp, Kasumuen Records.

This may or may not be the solid truth, but I have a sneaky suspicion that Brisbane garage rockers Some Jerks operate under the age-ole “if it ain’t, broke, don’t fix it!” when they craft their surf-laced sounds. No complicated recording studio production trickery, no over-the-top glitz, and seemingly no vulgar rock star attitude shit. Just three brilliant musicians with a need to rock n roll. And therewithin is this band’s magic and the powers of the outfit’s recent ‘Summertime Funtime’ LP.
Oh, plus, their secret weapon, who goes by the name Vicki. This vocalist has a pop sensibility that’s not as common as one would think when it comes to no-frills, all thrills rock music. One moment the singer is piercing the skies with her high octane delivery and the next she’s at a near whisper coaxing you into sonic submission. Pretty powerful vocal dexterity going on here.
And to get ya all ready to download the trio’s new album and subsequently crank it up, Vicki, Will, and Simon have dropped two tasty singles, the title track and “Oh No”, as well. Solid singles from a solid band, what more could you ask for…
