French post-Kraftwerk punk outfit The Scaners are set to take their mind-bending sounds to the US and beyond for an end of year tour. And if you’re a disciple of what Generations X, Public Image Ltd., Devo, and The Cramps made infamous, then this will be a band to witness.
Need a gateway track? Check out the band’s psych-punk single “X-Ray Glasses: On”, from their full-length LP ‘II’. The video, directed by Hugo “Frogy” Reymond on location at Bootlegger Club Lyon, is a hallucinogenic late night color blast. Both sonically and visually you’ll be transported back to a time when art and rock intertwined and pushed boundaries in addictive far-out excitements that captivated and swayed.
The tour kicks off 7 November at Tempe’s Yucca Tap Room and ends things in Dunkirk, France with The Briefs. And go on, take this track for a spin and add it to your weekend playlist, we have at the GTC WKND SPIN.
