In her most recent single, “Our Song”, Irish songwriter Aleigh returns with an emotional rollercoaster of a ballad. Replete with sweeping arrangments, heartache, and pleas. Released as a Christmas single a couple of weeks back, this track exemplifies the range this performer has in her arsenal. Moving past the sultry and brooding undertones of her previous two 2019 singles, this one highlights her care for a consoling melody as well as the powers of song structure. And this song pulls no punches, whoever or whatever ‘Jamie’ represents, it’s weighty and very personal.
