Danish songwriter Nils Bloch returns with a lush and pointed single, “Echoes Apart”.
In a quote, Bloch shared with the GTC, this gentle socially conscience track’s message is laid out, “I think many people who have been conditioned by society to fit into a certain stereotypical category of masculinity share the experience that when we recognize fragility and insecurity in ourselves or others our “training” prescribes we hide it from one other because we are taught to think of these traits as negative. So instead of allowing this inherently human vulnerability to connect us and create compassion, we hurt each other by transforming it into anger or a desperate need for domination.”
Whoa, heady subject matter for a pop song. But Nils Bloch isn’t in the jingle business, he’s a songwriter creating vessels to learn from, songs that make you feel something by the end of the experience. “Echoes Apart” is another one that’ll spark conversations.
