San Francisco’s 80’s synth conservators are back at it with a brand new thumping self-produced single, “Lightspeed”. A thriving bass dream that has whispers of Terri Nunn or Martika in a sweet wishful hope and contemplation story-line.
At first, one would consider Karina Rousseau’s vocal style and ability to convey and deliver the tale so innocently to be the star attraction. And this may be true, to some extent, but Lungs and Limbs are a whole band and the moving parts need one another to deliver such pop excitement. Kudos to Nick Tudor, Matt Power, Chris Casey and Rousseau on a nice slice of fresh DIY indie-pop coolness.
