…in neck-deep, HEAVY HEAVY Lights On
Heavy Heavy Lights On is available at Bandcamp, Spotify.

Heavy Heavy, the multi-cultural Berlin-based rocker’s latest single “Lights On” is described as the band’s “take on a protest song, born out of the plentiful frustrations felt by artists during the past year.” and it’s a natural-born raucous blend of desert rock and rough glam.
I’m in neck-deep right now
As I feel my skin creep
I came to see it but from the top I’m starting to slide down
Rolling down the Allee
I need an escape
And I’m making the call
I can’t chew through these knots
I can’t feel my fingers
I can’t break in this door, you dicks have buried me alive
Naked when the lights come on
You said there’s nothing wrong
But there’s something wrong…
The track comes with a blast from the past color pop performance music video, filmed by Matan Kedar. Stylish and brash, the film seems a contrast to the weightiness of the song’s subject matter the trio is lamenting, and it’s kinda the idea. The zeitgeist complications felt by not only artists and but regular folk alike is also bursting at the seams with possibilities. And a smidge of a wink-and-a-smile never hurt anyone.
Heavy Heavy is certainly one of the best-kept rock n roll secrets, but maybe not for too much longer as they continue to churn out smashing track after track. And if you’re a fan of All Them Witches, Monster Magnet, and Royal Blood, then get on board with rock’s unsung heroes of killer riffs and truths.

“Everything we’ve done so far is still there but we’re trying to push for new frontiers. “Lights On” has new instrumentations, some German lyrics, and piecing together the layers has been a fun experience. There’s also a lyric line that sounds like “Deez nuts”, so all in all it’s a pretty cool song I’d say.” – Lynus
