3 Reasons Why Lanie Lane

Lanie Lane isn’t a retro act, she is the real deal.

It is hard to deny the infectious authenticity in the nostalgia-tinged flavors of Australian stick of dynamite, Lanie Lane. A thriving mix of rockabilly, jazz, blues, pop, honky tonk all within one soul. Tracks like “Bang Bang”, “Oh Well That’s What You Get Falling In Love With A Cowboy”, and “Celeste” are just a few selections from her two full-length releases (Spotify) that showcase her limitless and timeless range. This is Pop music undefined, and this is brilliant.

Two things. First, one has to have a love and true appreciation for the history that came before them to be able to move in and out of the sounds of genres many have forgotten. Secondly, ne’er-do-wells can be seen and more importantly heard from vast distances away. In my well-traveled estimation, Lanie Lane is the real McCoy. A true gem in a sea of ‘retro’  is a  fashion statement wannabes.

I’m looking forward to Lane returning to the world of music, the stars are shining brightly over the future of this unique voice. Until then, Let’s sip some cider and have a view and listen to 3 Reasons Why Lanie Lane.
