Veteran singer-songwriter Eamonn Dowd doesn’t seem too interested in reshaping or mangling the sanctity of pure rock n roll. Perfectly exemplified by his latest project/single “King of the Dive Bars”. A sullen ode to the realities of hammering it out in the bars, ballrooms, and music halls as a wandering troubadour. Where the art is pure and the rewards are more often than not, fleeting.
The picturesque lyrics are straightforward and weighty only made punchier by the unbelievable guitar work. Check out the final chapter of this barroom lament for some of the most honest riffs known to man. In a world overfilled with TikTok shenanigans, you’ll find all the proof you need that rock n roll is alive and kickin’ in the guitar wizardry offered up here. Kudos!
