…to your grave, SINGLE: JUNKET – Red Handed
Junket – Red Handed is available at Apple Music, SoundCloud, Spotify.

Orange County, NY’s Junket make a triumphant return with their first new single in a decade. “Red Handed” has its roots in an unexpected place, the Showtime psychological thriller, Dexter. Yeah, who would have thought that the murderous hobby of a forensic blood spatter analyst and his relationship with his sister (Deb) would be the foundations of a hard-hitting alt-rock track. Rock-n-roll has no limits, as this one will attest.
“Red Handed” was inspired by the TV show “Dexter”, who is a serial killer for those who have murdered or harmed innocent people. His sister Deb, who is a detective, catches him in the act one time and they basically form a pact to never tell anyone.” Wicher continues, “I thought it would be fun to write a happy sounding tune to such dark subject matter, and for it to be in first person like I was actually Dexter talking to Deb. I feel like there’s enough ambiguity for any listener to come up with his or her own meaning that’s relatable to their lives.” – Chris Wicher
With hints of Coheed and Cambria, Kings of Leon, and deep-cut Local H, this track will take you back to the days when indie-rock went mainstream. From the opening groove to the cinematic lyrics and all that crunchy guitar, this track is a unique take on connectivity and its, well, killer.
You can stream this new rocker as well as the band’s Top Spotify Tracks, now at the GTC.
