NEW! JORDYN DELZER Like a Country Girl
by Walter Price
The debut single “Like a Country Girl” from Wisconsin native Jordyn Delzer follows a girl with big dreams to the bright lights of the big city. All the while, staying true to herself and her upbringing. As Delzer is quoted, “The song is about moving from a small town to a big city like Nashville. It is a song about chasing your dreams and carrying the values that you learnt from your parents growing up. It is about staying humble. The values of respect, hard work, and staying true to who you are.”
Of course, the comparisons to Lambert, Morris, and Evans will be made and that’s all good. Those names have forged indelible paths that any promising songwriter/performer would and should follow. But if Delzer didn’t have the voice and songwriting chops, this song and her future in the country-pop arena wouldn’t sound as good not to mention as natural as this introduction single does.
“Like a Country Girl”, replete with its empowering chant sewn in, should stand as a confident anthem for any small town kid who wants to make their dreams a reality. Find out for yourself and stream the single here at the GTC.

“Hailing from Wisconsin, Jordyn is an up-and-coming country music artist with a story to tell. Jordyn grew up on 90’s country music but back in her hometown no-one had the big vision of being a singer or believing it was possible so she didn’t tell anyone that she wanted to sing until she was 18 years old and instead focused on studying to be a veterinarian.” – bio
