MONSTER TRUCK – Why Are You Not Rocking (Download 2016)

by

Canada’s Monster Truck is one of my favourite bands in the world right now, and they’ve been one of my favourites for a few years now. Seeing them live in Vancouver last year was a real highlight for me, and if you’re hoping to catch them on stage in 2017 you’re in luck (especially if you’re in Europe!). The band has a string of tour-dates lined up: click through for more details!

‘Why Are You Not Rocking?’ is taken from the band’s 2016 release ‘Sittin’ Heavy’ – one of my favourite albums from last year (read my review). (I have featured this track before, but hey, this video is awesome, because it shows the band at Download last year!)

Nine Inch Nails – Dear World

by

Nine Inch Nails released an awesome EP last week. “Not The Actual Events” contains 5 brilliant songs. It’s quite a heavy, hard-hitting EP, dark in content, with a rock and industrial/electronic sound. This is Nine Inch Nails at their best.

I’ve chosen the excellent “Dear World” as my track of the week today as it contains some of the most thought-provoking lyrics on the EP.

RIVAL SONS – Tied Up (Live at Rock In Rio)

Rival Sonsby

Any track from Rival Sons is a treat, and this is one of the best tunes from the band’s 2016 release ‘Hollow Bones’. It’s a track that gets deeper under my skin the more I listen to it, and my love for it has only increased since I first heard it when the album dropped.

This live version from Rock In Rio is exceptional and showcases just how good the band is live.

Rival Sons has a long string of tour dates ahead in 2017, both with Black Sabbath, and headlining. Check it all out here.
