EAGLES OF DEATH METAL ‘COMPLEXITY’
I might not have heard of Eagles of Death Metal if it hadn’t been for the tragic and horrific attacks in Paris one week ago, but now I have, and so has millions of other people around the world.
The band recently shared this statement on social media:
Check out their track ‘Complexity’, taken from the band’s new release ‘Zipper Down’ – available now. Eagles of Death Metal Facebook / TwitterWhile the band is now home safe, we are horrified and still trying to come to terms with what happened in France. Our thoughts and hearts are first and foremost with our brother Nick Alexander, our record company comrades Thomas Ayad, Marie Mosser, and Manu Perez, and all the friends and fans whose lives were taken in Paris, as well as their friends, families, and loved ones.
Although bonded in grief with the victims, the fans, the families, the citizens of Paris, and all those affected by terrorism, we are proud to stand together, with our new family, now united by a common goal of love and compassion.
We would like to thank the French police, the FBI, the U.S. and French State Departments, and especially all those at ground zero with us who helped each other as best they could during this unimaginable ordeal, proving once again that love overshadows evil.
All EODM shows are on hold until further notice.
Vive la musique, vive la liberté, vive la France, and vive EODM.
GIRLSCHOOL ‘TAKE IT LIKE A BAND’
Hard rock icons Girlschool are releasing their brand new albumGuilty As Sin on Friday, November 13th, and you can get a good taste of their blistering, turbo-charged sound on this track: ‘Take It Like A Band’. I saw Girlschool live in May, and they are hardcore, old-school ROCK. I’ll definitely be checking out Guilty As Sin when it drops later this week!

SANTA CRUZ ‘LET THEM BURN’
Finnish hard-rockers Santa Cruz released a self-titled album earlier this year, a follow-up to the 2013 release Screaming For Adrenaline, and the band is currently on tour in the UK, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. This track pretty much captures the energy of the band (in their Facebook bio the band pegs its genre of music as “Pure Fucking Adrenaline”), and I always love to see live-footage of a band in their music videos.
Santa Cruz is based in Helsinki, and is made up of Archie on vocals and guitar, Johnny on guitar and backing vocals, Middy on bass and backing vocals, and Taz on drums and backing vocals.
