Coolest Music Videos: Hank Williams Jr. – ‘All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight’

In 1984 Hank Jr. released a fantastic country-rockin’ album called Major Moves (Curb). The entire album is full of Hank Jr awesomeness. With tracks like Attitude Adjustment, Knoxville Courthouse Blues, Country Relaxin‘ and setting the tone of the album, the lead track, All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight!
The video was so cool with cameos by Willie Nelson, George Thorogood, Mel Tillis, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Cheech and Chong, Porter Wagoner, Kris Kristofferson and Little Jimmy Dickens.
I regret the fact I didn’t follow through with Hank Jr’s invite to go fishing with him after an interview we did several years back. Oh well, next time Hank.

While I’m not a country/western music fan, I’m familiar with this album and remember seeing the cover song video on MTV. Hoot!
